| Porthole come with 2,3, or 4 "dog ears" or "dogs" for short. They are called dog ears because they resemble a dog's ears. They're actually a large butterfly nut that battens down the window part to the sash. | |

One of our favorite ideas is this masterfully
crafted Porthole Fish Tank. Mr. Culpepper himself conjured this one up
and after a few hours of installation, voila! A beautiful home
for "Beta the Fish" and a brilliant alternative to conventional
windows |
